AVATAR WARS: Round 1

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the premier episode of the weekly forum poll,

Avatar wars!

In this game, two randomly chosen contestants wage a war of non-wit in a contest to determine who has the greatest forum avatar. The rules are simple: every forum member, including the contestants, have the ability to vote for their favorite avatar. After three days of voting, the contest will end, and forum goers will have the ability to see who won this week's Avatar Wars Contest!

UPDATE: After the winner of the contest is declared, the loser gets to choose who the winner will fight next by sending me a PM. If I do not receive a PM within 3 days (ie another contest must be created) then I will automatically choose another contestant for the winner to fight myself.

This week's avatar war will start on January 20th, 2010, and will end exactly 3 days later on January 22nd, 2010. During that time, contestants may promote themselves, bribe voters, trash talk opponents, and otherwise carry out whatever (non-lethal) action it takes to win the contest, besides the following:

Users may not hack or sniff incoming forum packets (obviously)
AND
Contestants may not change their avatars during the contest

this automatically disqualifies me. my avatar automatically changes every time you see it. (refresh the page ppl ) It could even be that, the one on the Redeemer's post and my avatar on this post is diffrent.

Unless you change your avatar's link in the middle of the contest, you are not disqualified. An avatar like yours might be considered an animated avatar.


They animate together, so this isn't the case.

This is a tough decision. Quadraxas' is quite cool (and helped by always looking different -- they're always cool). But Cowabanga's is "Ed, Edd and Eddy"!

If I'm feeling particularly pro-active, I'm tempted to make myself an avatar just to participate in this contest

Good question. I originally thought I would pick contestants myself (just to make things a little random) but it might be interesting to have the winner of the last round pick someone to fight against. Of course that might be a little unfair because the winner might pick somebody who he can easily beat (like me).

Tell you what: the loser can pick who should fight the winner. He can send a PM to me containing the name of the person he wants the winner to fight next. That way nobody else would know and things will stay interesting.

it is something similiar instead i do not use sessions and only use a sheet of avatars and cut one of them out randomly.
