A7 Recognized in the game industry? - 03/24/10 07:34

I was quite shocked when read GameDeveloper Feb 2010 issues mentioning by research that Gamestudio a.k.a our beloved A7 being one of the engine that are accountable for making it's debut on modern game development industry,Unity 3D somehow in this statistical research more 'famous' than unreal, even we just 1 ladder below from gamebryo :),i hope that conitec still concern about GameStudio product line and not to abandon this great trust that are put by us as their user, when they will updated the new roadmap?any plans for directx 11?Opengl 4?Industries 'started' to look at GameStudio, where is the conitec attempt?

Are you sure its the 3DGameStudio they mean?
Because it says only "Gamestudio" which could also be Microsofts XNA Gamestudio

Gamestudio is 3dgs' reserved name.(it also says "commercial", and i doubt the XNA has a %7 rate wink )

It's definitely A7 because they were referring with Kabus 22,a published A6? title
Quote:

TOP (left to right): FOREIGN LEGION: BUCKETS OF BLOOD (Unity 3D),
BORDERLANDS (Unreal Engine), PENNY ARCADE ADVENTURES (Torque),
HALF-LIFE 2 (Source), FAR CRY (CryEngine). BOTTOM (left to right):
FREEDOM FORCE (Gamebryo), KABUS 22 (Gamestudio), DOOM 3 (id
Tech), PLANET 51 ONLINE (Vision), PUZZLEQUEST (Vicious).

I have made the article(2 pages) : http://uploading.com/files/3d1e374c/gamedev-gamestudio.rar/

no problem,it will just goes to waste if conitec really discontinued A7 :(,apart this only this speculation,i don't mind to pay 500$ for an A8 upgrade with directx 11/Opengl 4 with unified editor like unity and shader editor plus great art pipeline grin

what's with the "discontuniation of A7" thing that have been floating in the air lately?

It's not even a speculation, it is not true.
