I think the first one wins, amazing song. Moldova was funny, and you're right, most of them were at least good. Good year.

It was a beautiful song.
Think Germany will not be top 10.
I Even think France will get more votes

They normally always vote for Portugal...

Re: Eurovision - 05/29/10 22:29

i cant understand...
cool, that we´ve won, but i dont know how. lena is nice but she sings a bit choppy. i never thought that. the others had very strong voices and most of them good songs too.

i thought turkey would win. they had a great show and a great song. followed by belgium.

Congratulation to Turkey, too! laugh

I didn't see the show, so did the politics rolled in?
I'm always interested to hear about such mixture of 'fun' events and politics.

Re: Eurovision - 05/30/10 05:53

hehe balkan-staates allways push themselves.
Greece hates Turkey so they give them 1 point
Turkey hates Greece so they give them 1 point

Greece should have given 12 point to germany (because of the money we gave 'em) but we just got 4 -.-

Re: Eurovision - 05/30/10 12:06

WTF? I thought this is a contest about music, not about who pays who the most money.

Thats just BS. Just because the east-block does it, doesn't mean we have to do it too. And evidently it worked just fine without relying on neighbor-voting.

Re: Eurovision - 05/30/10 15:12

Sorry, guys, this _seems_ to be a contest about music, but it is a European fun event, and Aztec's post is an answer to my question to Quadraxas on how politics are coming in at this event.

From the voting it seems that there aren't too much politics involved.
I didn't see the contest, but from what I heard, I'm quite happy with 'our' star, Lena, because she shows an honest friendly relaxed behavior which is the best representation that our country can get.

BTW, Guildo Horn did a nice job in the former Eurovision Contests, too. grin
Although, this was totally different.

In this contest I liked the brass music very much that I heard in the radio upfront the contest - don't know from which country this was.
EDIT: Uh, forget the last, just had a closer look at the song with some brass in it - don't like it anymore. Just liked the brass part, can't bear the rest. tongue

Re: Eurovision - 05/30/10 22:19

No doubt there ARE politics involved in the vote results.
But a good song can negate this influence. As Lena did. As Fairy Tale did. As Lordi did.

Although I barely can hear it anymore, the satellite song is very catchy, and it does not feel like standard ware...

Re: Eurovision - 05/30/10 23:39

This will increase Mr. Raab´s reputation more than everything he did before.
He was speechless - this is an extremely rare situation. grin
Every german grandma will adore him.

My congrats to Lena and him.
