Could someone explain to me why JCL has a post count beyond 20,000? At least nowadays he doesn't seem to post very much. Was he extremely active in the community ten years ago or did he modify the database to make himself look more imposing to the noobs?
Also, whatever happened to Dan Silverman?

Sure, but the second most prolific poster in the community is only at 11,000 posts. It seems like everyone but JCL has a life outside of GS.

Currently he makes about 3 posts per day, that's more than 11000 in 11 years. Sometimes, updates and thus discussions/ problems come more often than right now, so I don't think that cheating was necessary. ;>
Dan Silverman is still around, he's using a different nick name/ account, though.

yeah, JCL has a lot of things to say.
ALso Dan SIlverman had his fair share of problems years ago, the nature of which I will not discuss, but alas he has returned with a new nickname...
