Weird problem with the Delphi SDK

Weird problem with the Delphi SDK - 08/12/07 20:20

Not sure if anyone has experienced this themselves. I'm not sure which category this falls under.

I have recently upgraded to A7. I installed the demo version and when I received the licence key I followed the instructions and placed the key in the correct location. The model editor, script editor etc. seemed to have registered ok.

I downloaded the Delphi SDK and compiled the included examples which use the acknex.dll library.

I included the C:\....\GStudio7 folder in the evironment path so the library could be found.

However, when I try run the examples from the SDK's sample directory, I get the 'trial version has expired' error message which would have been the case if I hadn't registered.

I can get the samples working, if I copy them to the GStudio directory. Trying the other way round, i.e. copying the acknex.dll file to the sample directory, lands up with a 'corrupt installation' error message ...

Hope I'm explaining this clearly, am I missing something?

Thanks for any help ...

You really should post any questions with the Delphi SDK into the higher languages forum.

from the delphi sdk manual under
"Working with the Engine DLL"
the page titled: "Engine Programming - Setup the IDE"

Quote:

copy the following files, d3dx9_30.dll, acknex.dll, ackutl.dll and sed.exe from the gamestudio directory to the directory you are developing and/or want to run your program from

Thanks for the response, I'll give that a try. Apologies for using the incorrect forum ...
