Placing Bullet holes

Hi i just started with game studio and i was messing around with

some fps functions and stuff. I was wondering how do you place

bullet holes? There seems to be nothing in the manual about it,

i figured that it would be done after like a c_trace from the

bullet but how do i actually place/create the bullet hole? I

have the bmap of the hole but don't know how to do it. Can

any1 help me?

c_trace uses a ray for tracing, and returns the world coordinates of hit vector(the exact poin where the ray hit somewhere.) then you create the hole there.

you may also try looing at ent_decal

but you need the commercial edition for ent_decal. If you dont have it you can still place bullet holes with sprites, but they dont look as good, for instance they dont bend along the surface.
