Lightning Terrain Prob - 10/21/08 05:28

Ive greated a HMP Terrain with med and placed it into my level.
All other objects are shaded (no material:std shader). Sun
light = 15. My terrain is always "fullbright" but reacts on
dynamic lights ?!? Other models in the near of the hmp are
shaded correctly ?
And no, the hmp dont touch any blocks or something

Any ideas ?

i think that terrain needs a shadow map in it's second skin (or something like that). it wont shade itself in runtime.

I dont think it need 2 skins....the last time ive used terrain it was shaded right with one skin.
Ive converted it into MDL, its still totally bright...really dont know why

[Edit]
By the way:Whats the best way to create a shadow map ?

Thanx great tip. But i dont need shadows on it, i need it shaded. Its too
bright to fit the rest of the level. Are there other ways to make it "more
dark" than playing with ambience-value or photoshop ? Ambient -50 would be
nice wink
