mdl model loading error!

the other day i found these esf dragon ball z half-life mod models online, and when i downloaded them (and unziped the files) they were already in .mdl format.but when i tried to load one of the models into the med model editor, a message said there was an error loading the file! i dont know whats going on ive tried loading it into another 3d software, but it doesnt load in those either. is my version of med old? or is the file just corrupted? please help!

the mdl format of hl is different to gs ones

Half-Life used Maya. So try them in Maya, if you dont have Maya redownload them and cheak and see if its a valid source....dont want a virus!

maya wont open MDL either, pluse they use XSI. you have to decompile the mdl, if it's hl1 mdl you can decompile them with milkshape.
