Problem with model - 03/04/11 13:35

I have weapon model (for FPS), and there is a problem with hands. They made from two meshes, so there is a stitch.
Here is how it looks like:

I wonder, is there any way to avoid this ugly looking stitch? I use free version, so no shaders. Thank u.

Do you have merged the vertices at this edge?
Which Program do u used for modeling?

I didn't make this model myself (I bought it, it's a FSPC's model pack).
Didn't try to merge vertices (ATM I use only MED, I know that there is a way to merge them there).
I converted bone animations into point ones and changed model's origin). I'll try to merge them. Thank u.

fpsc's license not allow you use the modles out of fpsc or darkbasic, i think.

I merged vertices, that handled problem with lightning, thank u a lot, I really appreciate it.
Currently I have line (on skin) between meshes witch are merged now, that caused by skin I guess.
BTW I didn't merge all vertices, will that cause performance problems (I merged them only at the points, which are visible for player)?
EDIT: from official site:

This pack can also be used with other applications such as Dark Basic Pro. Once purchased the media has been packaged in such a way to enable you to enjoy the content immediately. If you are an FPS Creator user you can download the content and install it into the media library. An alternative installer is available to those who want to use the media outside of FPS Creator.
And I'm the one who uses this pack outside of FPS Creator. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to edit model, but I don't care, I'm not using it for commercial needs.
