a few questions - 03/10/12 10:43

Hi,
i would start to write a model viewer
but before i get lost in my work i have some questions

1. is it possible to load a bmap at run time
and project the bmap to a model?

2. is it possible to make the white surface of a bmap invisible
like the black surface of a tga file? ( with overlay? )

hope you will understand my brocken english

Broken english forgiven. I'll do my best. wink

1> Check the manual for "ent_setskin". Is that what you mean?

2> I believe so. Check the manual under "d3d_autotransparency".
But this only applies to BMAPs and therefore panels.
It wont help if the BMAPs you are speaking of are used as skins.
(there is a chance it MIGHT work, but Ive never tried it...)

Best of luck.

1> bmap_create works at runtime wink
Projection by shaders. (or as EvilSOB says, by ent_setskin)

2> At least by iterating over the bitmap and calculating the alpha at runtime.
