Hiya.

Here's what I have...it a bit heavy (polygon wise), but you said "whatever it needs"... (I can probably shave off some... ).

It's about 5k poly's (that's 10k triangles...).

Thats what I was thinking... also, its a bit high polygonal for something going to be in the background the whole time...

Hiya.

The modeler program I've been using of late (as opposed to XSI) is called "Hexagon". I bought version 2 when it was on sale for 99% off...DAZ (the company) had just bought the program from a french company called Eovia. For some reason, DAZ decided to sell the normally $290.00 program for $1.99. Yes, thats ONE dollar and ninty-nine cents! o_O Well, if you were a "platinum member" of their site...which would cost you $30. So, all totalled, it cost me about $31.99. They have raised the price, but it's still pretty low. Here's the link: http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=catmain&cat=272 I thkn it's about $180.00 now for the download version.

As for the model itself...yeah, it's a bit "high" poly for a game...but I made it in pieces, so it shouldn't be too hard on the computer. I can also shave off some pollies here and there. But, as the original requester/poster said "whatever polygons it takes"... So, think of it as "drum kit pieces, each about 250 to 800 poly's"...easier to swallow.
