When you add a light to the level and look in Object Properties --> Properties You can set Dynamic. What is the function of this, I still can't add an action to that light? Regards, Frits

Hi, I recommend just assigning a self-made action to an object that you made, and apply the dynamic light code to it directly yourself. You can use this below, make an object, set its action to my_dynamic_light, and set the 3 skills for RGB, and skill4 for the lightrange. Code:
action my_dynamic_light { //define color based on skills and distance for fadeout my.red=my.skill1; my.green=my.skill2; my.blue =my.skill3; my.lightrange= my.skill4 my.transparent = on; my.alpha=0; my.light= on; }

Yes, I have done that already, only I don't like the result; [image] [/image] How do I prevent the light shining outside my elevator? I would like it to stay inside. The elevator is completely closed exept for the front end. For the Dynamic box, I am only curious what you can do with it. Regards, Frits

Suggestion is to make the elevator out of a model (if it isn't) with an inside surface (uv normals inward) as well as an outside surface. Then use a dynamic light with a short range as Jetpack Monkey says. The range is to large in your example. You can get some ideas of what you can do with models from the DynaLights Gallery if you like. cheers, tindust

If the lift was a model, would it work to set its shadow flag?

The lift is a map entity. I had to reduce the lightrange to 30 to keep the light inside. Still I think this a strange behaviour for a dynamic light which is in a closed box.
But I still don't know the answer to my original question. Does anyone know an answer?
