1: No, not really. You can create a game in Gamestudio with a few clicks of the mouse. However if you want something custom or original you find yourself programming very quickly even though you thought you wouldn't in the first place. Don't be afraid, it's actualy fun! Beside the Gamestudio manual there are 59 user magazines, a c-script workshop and many many other resources to learn from if you like. 2: Look at the Gallery or at the Showcase II forum. You can create any type of game with Gamestudio, depends on your imagination and creativity. Gamestudio may not be the best solution for every situation though. 3: Yes. 4: Yes. After you published your game, users will be able to play without Gamestudio installed. 5: I don't find it hard to level design with Gamestudio. However you must learn to work with the application in order to say the same thing. Besides the WED (world editor) and MED (model editor) which are included with Gamestudio you can use other software to construct models and levels too. 6: No. Making art or being artist is not about easy. Also having a program that push out AA++ models/textures with a click on a button, doesn't make anyone artist, it must be inside you already or always wanting to come out. However there are lots of good looking free models and textures you can download for use in your games. Dusty

i am suggesting you to buy the standart first, after you can do something with standart you might continue with the comercial one,as i am pro license owner,i don't see for now the good reason for owning a pro license, but future might be 'bright' from what i've saw on forecast pages : http://www.conitec.net/forecast.htmand use the gamespace lite edition which is free,it's should be enough for standart owner, because 300$ for 'a' gamespace bit too high, just make sure you like it first then u can continue to buy the full one.

Austin_M , since you dont know anything , then yes gamestudio would be a good place to start , buy the standar version , play with it , and understand how games are made. Once you know what your doing , you will then be able to make the judgement yourself if making games is easy or hard. Making ANY game is hard , you can make a full game with gamestudio withought needing to do any coding , modeling , texturing , or anything of your own , other than maybe a box level or something , but it will be a very basic , lifeless , boring and incoherent piece of crap , but it will be your first step into learning game development , which is not an easy thing , as just throwing in premade models and code isnt game development , its getting an idea , laying it out with a full design , designing the models , textures , gameplay , story , ect... , and bringing it all to life with the aid of a 3d engine , like gamestudio , so there never is a simple way of doing it , but gamestudio IS a very good engine , and takes care of all of the basics for you (handling all the file types and windows interface and everything, gives you level editor , model editor , script editor) but you still have to do all the rest. GameStudio is what a canvas and a set of oil paints are to an artist , what a guitar is to a rock star , what a camera is to a movie maker , it is a tool , you have to keep that in mind , what you make with it and the quality of it will be depandant on you and your skills , which is something many people here who complain about it forget , they have the art skills of children and expect GameStudio to somehow remake and retexture the horrible levels and models they make so they are good levels and models , LOL. Gamestudio is definately worth buying , Standard version cost less than a pair of shoes , so your really not risking much , LOL.
