Should I make a demo to show the effect?

I used no code that affects any grafical settings.

The result is, that the grafixcard anti-aliasing setting affects the
way panels are rendered. And this since the 6.4 versions.

It will look exactly the same, even if the script just consists of
a single panel, that is displayed.

I dont have more systems than mine to check this behaviour.
But in the end, the 2D panels should look the same on all systems, or?

It must be an issue of the acknex rendering, as it changed with the last updates.

So can you definitly say, that on your system, turning a higher anti-aliasing on
will not affect the rendering of the panels (and texts, and mouse-pointer) ?

If you want resolution independent panels, scaling
is a bad way anyways.
Either make different panels for different resolutions,
or make the panels attached to an edge.
Scaled panels (if they have small details) will look bad/blurry, if the engine does that.

However, antialiasing settings should normally not worse the rendering of panels. So this could be a combination with some other problem dependent on either your project, or your video driver.

I had this smoothing problem too, 2 weeks ago. So he´s not the only one

Yes I have similar problems with my panels and fonts, also using a 6600GT. It's indeed related to the anti-aliassing setting (if I turn off anti aliassing the problems disapear).

I never really looked into this and I don't know what the filter flag has to do with it, or with what version the problems started.

The filter flag has nothing to do with it. Antialiasing and filtering are two different things.

When it's a driver problem is probably started with 6.50, which uses a newer DirectX version than 6.31. When it's a random driver bug or related to some setting in your project, it could have started with any version. In the latter case there's a slight chance that we could look into this and implement a workaround. We need to know then whether the problem only occurs under certain circumstances, or random, or always - well, just the usual information for a bug report.

It started with 6.4,
affects all 2d Content
and reachts whenever I set the anti-alialising on in my
direct X setting.
Affects all gamestudio projects I have seen yet, that where build
with a version after 6.31
-> without special commands altering the direct 3D rendering.

ATI Radeon Mobility 9000

I dont have the newest ATI driver, as my laptopproducer does not
make any custom drivers anymore.
But other users have the same problem too as posted.

Maybe this has something to do, with the rework on scalable panels?
Maybe you render the 2D content differently since then?

I don't think that it has something to do with scalable panels, but
panel rendering was indeed a little different in 6.40 and 6.31 - this could be the reason for the problem. We're having several 3D cards that produce various errors when antialiasing is set, but I see no difference with 6.31 and 6.40. Anyway I'll look into that problem and see what I can do.
