Yes, nice game. You should use other models. I mean the one looks like the hitman model.
Is it right that everything is scaled so large? I think that will cause long buildtimes.

You should take out the hitman model, even if its a free game..
Daniel
i will be using the hitman model as a temporary model. WHen i have finished all the scripting i will then move on to modelling my own characters.

I have to add that I donīt know anything about FPS creating with 3DGS. I didnīt made one yet.
What I want to say is, that I am not sure if the scaling is right or wrong. Maybe itīs just because of the details and teh scale of the textures or something. If you scale everything smaler maybe the gun will look too large in the level. But as I said I donīt know.
I am thankful if you can tell me if smaller scale cause problems with the view size proportions compared to the level.

"it is going to be a high quality FPS" if you are realy heading for professional quality, you have to live with harsh critics. let's start.
screenshot2: the menu looks awful. the color, the font, the faked glow... it all looks pretty bad, it simply doesn't fit at all. looks like if you just got Photoshop somewhere and tried out a text effect, nothing more.
screenshot3: the HUD is a joke, isn't it? The lighting situation is bad. geometry is uninteresting, all buildings have the same height, texture. the cable on top is unrealistic in texture, size, shape, connectors. don't use standard.wad at all. what a blocky and high pavement!
screenshot4: the gun texture looks awful, just if it had just a 2side mapping (stetched around corners etc.) the hand looks even worse in texturing and shape. im' not going to talk about the "graffitti". looking for a good fire effect? check easyparticles from hawkgames.com. the bin texture doesn't fit and the lighting on them isn't correct (seams).
screenshot5: cables have been discussed already. too foggy, as if the engine could't handle hte geo. if you're looking for a foggy image, you have to use 3dgs fog in combination with a sprite system (local fog).
screenshot6: lamp lighing is incorrect. _never_ use the standard text output (what's formerly been msg_show).
screenshot7: blurry, undetailed, upscaled textures, combined with bad models and wrong lighting. pixel-blood. a CSG "step" in the right pathway.
hope that's enough for today. don't take it too personaly, but if you're heading for professional art, you have a looong way yet to go. you won't learn anything from a "nice game"-comment.

Thanks for your comment i am really grateful. I am not currently working on a professional quality game because i am still learning alot. I will take into account everything you have said and i will apply it to my next project.

okay, well, youre a newbie, and i really likeit that you take criticism. and if you continue your work, im sure you can really get something good going. for now, take dabrozars help and continue your project. it can only turn out to be better than it is now. any project does.
but i like the idea behind it^^ keep the spirit going^^
thanks. i will be constantly trying to improve my game but currently i am working on my own so i cannot do scripting and level design at the same time.
