Is there any fog script that does almost the following:

I just have to place a box in my world with the fog action that generate a simple fog with the color I want...

I'd like to get it look like the GTA San andreas fog, when the player is in the fog...

Thanks in advance!

Yeah! IE sucks, use Mozilla...

It looks like this, but I'd like a darker one

Don't forget I want this fog to be in the cube entity that is a kind of generator... So if i want some fog only in the city, I place the box on my city with the action, and i'm in business!

I hope you understand.. i'm bad in english

well, define your fog, place your invisible, passable cubeentity into your level around your city and then check if the camera is in something via c_content. you'll have to tweak the transition between no-fog and fog areas though.

well, then you have to use sprites, gaint transparent ones, placed all over the cityscape. but this a) eats power like nothin and b) looks as "bad" as your GTA:SA shot looks -> do you see the seams at the pavement? that's where the sprites touch the ground, it makes the fog look like a game, not like a real one.

wait for the next "3DGS Magazin", i wrote a tutorial about it. hope you can read german...

Just use gamestudio fog , its really visually impressive. You can have a white cube over an area you wanna see the fog from from a specific distance or whatever , and just use regular gamestudio fog , then if you wanna see the fog on say a city from a distance just have that cube turn visible to a certain transparent , works really well. Just get creative with what your doing. For fancier looking fog you might have to use sprites. A combination of gamestudio fog , cube models and/or sprites should give you some pretty impressing fog , since you can change the fog far/close parameter in game you can change and fade fog distance and the like in game , so you have a lot of freedom to script some nice stuff. Btw , I would use white cube models rather than sprites , even though sprites can be used to create rolling type or cloudy fog , I have never seen this type of fog , when I have seen fog in the morning , it looks just like the gamestudio basic fog , so I would sujest using cubes , since one giant cube could cover a whole city , putting a ton of spites all over the city like Dabro sujjested isnt too good of an idea if you ask me , though it should work as well.
