I didn't know if I should post this in the user request or physics forum...

Are there any beginners tutorials for Newton physics in 3DGS? I've been looking around for over 30 min. and can't find any. The tutorials that come with Newton all seem to be for c++ or something...? how do I implement it into 3dgs?
Do I just put the Newton.dll in my project folder and then I can use the newton functions in my WDL script??

i feel really stupid... since I'm sure I've missed something

Micha

P.S. and what exactly are the differences between newton and 3dgs physics? (phent_settype etc is 3dgs, right? and I've seen a lot of people use it here.) why use newton instead of 3dgs physics??

I also got completely losted when starting with newton. What I did to avoid all this headache was get a demo project, delete almost everything and use it as a "newton template" till today.

3DGS physics is ODE, is more up-to-date ( I think... ) and has more features. Newton is a bit outdated, but works fine depending on what exactly you need.

Newton uses the old collision system, aka "doesnt work on model-only levels".

I use Newton because I have 3DGS Extra Edition, that doesnt have any physics.
