Hiya.

First guess, the 'bottom' of your pillars either don't have propper triangles, or they don't have any triangles. I'm pretty sure that A6 will give you an error if you have an 'open' object, but not positive.

Next, the pillar is a seperate model than the 'floor', and when they intersect, A6 is screwing up the shadow info somehow.

I'm just guessing, so take it for what it's worth.

Perhaps it's best to save the model's TGA texture to a 24bit TGA texture, this way it won't have an alpha channel and probably won't cause this transparent error.

you propably use a tga texture with 32 bit. it has an alpha channel and does no z-sorting or whatever its called. listen to phemox, oder add an "my.transparent = off;" to all the entities. this should work too.
