I made a trapdoor in MED and have animated it;
position 1

position 2

position 3

When I play the animation in WED the end of the trapdoor follows a straight line and gets first shorter and then longer;

instead of what I was expecting;

Has anyone an idea how to let it move like in the last immage?

I like to keep scripting simple, life is hard enough as it is.

You have to use more frames to describe that motion - If I remember correctly you can rotate the object a maximum of 30 degrees per frame.

Well, I think I was lucky for my first animation, I have no idea how I did it, but when I tried it again nothing is moving anymore. Why is there not a button to record a motion, that would make life so much easier.
Can you please explain to me how to animate this? Thanks in advance.
The manual gives me no clue at all.

Go to Edit -> manage frames
then add a frame (give it a name and what not...)
click the animate button and use the arrows to find the frame you just have added
now move the model into it's first position.
then add another frame (make sure it is set to "after final frame" and click the use current frame box)
now at the bottom of the MED window use the arrows to go to the frame after the last one - one click on the single right pointing arrow should do it...
move the model to the next position and repeat

hope you understand.

Thanks, that helped a lot. I forgot to go to the last frame when I changed the move.
Now I encounter another problem; how to stop the animation.
I will ask this question in scripting.
Thanks again for your help.

yeah i think you will need an action assigned to the mode to controll the animatiion in the engine.
