..you wake up in the morning and see that nobody is in your house.
You move out of house...see nobody on the streets. It appears freaky,
so you pinch yourself and realise its not a dream.
You switch on the TV n radio n internet and
they dont work.Power supply also goes away in a few hours.
You move around your city and see nobody. You can see all other
animals n birds but it seems all humans have just been plucked out
of earth !.Weeks pass by and you still cant find a trace of human
around.What will you do ?

there's a youth book about it, "empty world" by john christopher, theough the plot's a bit different, all people around the main char die until he's (almost) alone.

A very existensialist question which is kind of interesting. Compare that with Franz Kafka's "Metamorphisis" in which a traveling salesman one day wakes up to find himself an insect. But comparatively I think that I would rather be an insect in a world of thriving humans rather than to be utterly alone in the world of thriving animals.

Try to create an ai which can keep me company. With no other humans I can at least look at the bright side:

1)I never have to work again
2)There will never be any wars, starvation or the like.

3) I have full access to all the computers, technology, transportation systems and educational resources. Therefore I would probably devote my time to studying something, or maybe I'd just study everything...I dont know.

1) wrong - how will you get food?
2) unless your own probable starvation, yes.
3) zangzang stated, electricity's gone.

in a highly specialised world, what can you really do alone? do you have the knowledge to even feed yourself, do agriculture? how many city-born kids know that nowadays?

Mmmm, how could there be total lack of power aren't windmills and solar energy still available, or?

Second question, what exactly happened and how come you are the only one that survived? (that would be the first thing I'd like to figure out before doing anything) Apart from that I would probably spend quite a bit of time searching for other survivers even if there are none.

Infact, if I do know I am the only one still living on the planet, that might imply I was infact responsible for this 'sudden end of all mankind' and thus must have had a good reason. In that case I'd probably thought about being alone, prepared for it and decided how to spend my time.

Cheers

Well my suggestion would be go to the supermarkt buy some food and in a plant shop you can get all kinds of seeds that you can plant in your garden like tomato seeds,... Though the supermarkt probably wont have food forever so you should plant those seeds early.

But aside from that what would do alone? Even if you have power you probably couldnt use the TV because there need to be other people that are hosting tv series and without other people the tv is usless. The same for the internet there would be noone that could host a webpage so the only thing you could do is playing computer games. And what is life without girls? Because there are no girls on earth anymore you probably go crazy and end up killing yourself. So life would be meaningless if you are the last human on earth.

cheers

I think even I agree to this..I'll probably feel like the guy in the movie Castaway played by Tom Hanks..trying all ways to survive, but yeah as DaBrozar says,I have no hands on over actual farming/cultivation
I'll forever not know what has happened and will be in search of other human(s)
..suicidal thoughts may be contemplated am sure, but life is meant to be lived probably

I like good 'views' because they have no 'strings' attached..

Sure life is meant to be lifed but lets assume you searched the whole world for any surviving humans but you couldnt find one why would you still want to life then just for eating? I am sure that everbody would go crazy after a while. So would you rather life your life till the end of your days and die as an old man? Or would you take the fast way and die early but be back reunited in heaven with your family and friends? (Well i would take the second way) In my opinion there would be no more meaning of life if you would know for sure that you are the last human on earth.

Well i agree with that too but you still could do farming/cultivation in a small size like a garden plant tomatoes apples etc...

cheers
