I have a huge collection of great models in .3DS files. I can import them in MED, complete with textures - no problem. I can save them in my \work folder as .mdl files. I can re-open them in MED or I can add them to my game in WED, all with no problems. I can position them and scale them in MED...

The problem is: when I build & run my game, the models that originated as .3DS files are not present. I can't see them and I can't interact with them!

Does anyone know what the problem is?

in MED go to: Edit -> Manage skins -> Skin settings -> Material setup and set alpha to a hundred. This should do the trick.

Thank you cartoon_baboon! Worked like a charm...

The 207MB library of .3DS models came from my large format film production department. The computer graphics guy told me that these models are public domain. Where can I upload the models to share them with you guys?

You can try au.conitec.net
It's Conitec's resource site.
