I think what would make WED a brilliant editor, would be eliminating the need for any external editors that require importing and file format converting. I'm talking about stuff like built in terrain tools, lightmapping for everything(including static models n stuff), artist freaindly shader editor, again, allowing you to apply shaders to anything. All of this, including everything would not only make things easier, but would make games look a whole lot better. In a lot of levels ive seen, shadows all look realistic on the blocks, but as soon as you start to up the detail and add some models, they stick out like saw thumbs. The list could go on, but these are just a few ideas.
