Whenever I import something into 3dgs from 3ds max it always turns out plain black, I know there's a way to do it keeping the texture because I did it once (a long time ago). Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

make sure the texture is a BMP, with correct powers (e.g 16 x 16, 512 x 1024 etc)

also ensure the image is in the game directory as the MDL file, and ensure that you have skinned the model correctly by opening it in MED, before WED
