Hello,
if i model a standard human, how many polygons are okay? I´ve read that the new Lara has about 10000, but i think that is quite a lot, => too many. But what are good values?
And the second question is: what is a good count for items, like weapons, barrels, etc. Since it could come to quite alot polygons if the level is full, what is the maximum?

I hope you have some ideas,

best greetings,

Thracian

It is depend of the hardware and the type of your game end other values(like how many characters are visible at once)-if you aim for actual machines than go from 5000-10000tris (iam using for a FPS).

Actual machines have a lot power for polys-its more the shaders that make actually the "brake". On older machines i would not use more than 5000 tris.

From the better machines iam talking about fastest GF6 class to actual once.

Ok, so not more than 5000.
Is the 5000 for one model or for all the visible polygons?

ATV? Unter Wikipedia wird da genannt:
- Abstinenten-Turnverein Basel, Schweizer Sportverein
