Hi,

I'm getting an "invalid format..." error when defining some new .wav files into my application. What does this mean??

It means something is very, very wrong!

*.wav files should not be invalid! Have you altered something in the scripts that may have caused this???

I can't imagine what the trouble is, unless the *.wav files you are trying to use are not actually *.wav files!

Is it possible that these are actually another format with the wrong extension?!

Some folks in the Beginner's forum are having similar problems. You might want to check out those postings....

Hi, this means that your WAV files are the wrong format... WAV files have to be, um, 8 bit or 16 bit (I can't remember which), and if you use the wrong one then you get this error. I use the Wave Studio that came with my SoundBlaster card to convert .wav files to the correct format. You should be able to find something that will do the job at CNET.
Cheers,
Keith

Thanks, Ambit is correct. The .wav files I was using are 16 bit which is OK I believe however they were at 44K Mhz, it seems they cannot be over 22K Mhz. I took one file I was having trouble with and used some dumb little application I downloaded to convert it from 44K to 22K, then brought it back in and it worked.

Thanks!
