I have a selfmade Zombiemodel and I am texturing it at the moment (6-sided mapping), but whatever I do, it seems impossible to make a skin that way without seams on some parts of the model.
Is it possible to draw directly on the 3d-model?
I think it was possible in an earlier GS-version if I remeber right...
It would be nice to get some hints (auch deutsch) because the texturing\seams
are messing up my model...

I think you can move the skin coordinates connected together, and then capture the texture image and paint it in Photoshop.
I don't know why the current edition of MED can't export BMP with texture coordinates drawn, but lower editions like 6.22 can.

Hiya.

A simple cubic map for a humanoid model isn't going to cut it, unfortunatly. A cubic map is just that; a cube. It projects a texture from 6 sides; where these sides 'meet up' is where you will likely see seems. If you really want to just do a 'quick and dirty UV map' for the model, I'd suggest using a cylindrical projection. The inside of the arms/legs will look strange, and the top of the head, but it might be better than cubic.

For a good texure map for a humanoid model, you pretty much have to do 'real' UV maping.

And I guess MED isnīt the right tool to do anything like this....
Any free Tools? Or is a better mapping method possible with milkshape 3D?
And what IS by the way UV-Map? how does it works?
I heard it many times in this forum but I canīt really imagine something about it...
