1) Make your model unsmoothed (Facetted) when asking for criticism.
2) Give us a wireframe view.
3) Post your concept art (It's near impossible to give feedback when we don't know what you’re trying to make in the first place)

Edit: I noticed you don't have concept art. It might help you to make some before you model. I know it seems like you don't need it when you start, but it's really nice to have some reference as you go along.

Anyway, just disregard my 3rd complaint.

Additionally, It's a pretty good try for a first model Nice Job!
