Hello Friends, I just want to know, what is the Best Image Format to use with 3DGS ? normaly i am using pcx (model textures) , bmp(panels, etc) , tga (for transparency , high quality pictures) , am i doing it correctly ?
.tga (and GTA) rulez but to larg images I'm using .dds too For best quality use .tga but for f.e. backgrounds, or LOD's models use .dds as textures to reduce memory

If you want the best quality but the biggest vid mem hit then go with TGA. If you want the smallest vid mem hit but reduced quality then go with DDS. Stay away from JPG. You can export DDS files with free paint programs Paint.NET (via a forum plugin) and The Gimp.
