Hi, I am going to be going through the tutorials in the free version but had a couple simple questions:

1) What are the upgrade policies to newer versions if I purchase C-Lite now?
2) Does the commercial version create faster executables than the free version?
3) How soon will a new version be coming out? I am hoping for dynamic lighting and shader support. Hopefully C-Lite will support that in the near future.

Thank you for you time.
-Steven

1 - Updates are free.
2 - Yes.
3 - How to use lighting is described in the manual. For shaders you'll need the commercial edition. They won't come with a free update.

For the difference between updates and upgrades, see the FAQ page and the comparison table on http://www.3dgamestudio.com/order7.htm .

Thanks again for the quick response and the link to the comparisons.

I like the idea of developing most my game in Lite-C and it's a good start for a beginner like me who is just used to programming but not game making.

I'll learn with the free version and decide which version to purchase afterwords. I actually purchased the A4 version several years ago but didn't get too deep into it. This time, approaching game development from a programming perspective I think I'll get further.
