I've been exploring a problem I am having with a multiplayer FPS - there is no Y-Axis view movement for any client connecting to a running server. The clients can move normally, pan normally but simply cannot look up or down. I have viewed the various multiplayer tutorials and even the included code does not allow for a client to look up or down. I am using completely stock code for my tests to no avail - and I think thats is where my frustration lies...

I must be doing something wrong somewhere because I cannot believe that the A5 would not allow for Y-Axis movement of the viewing frustrum for connecting clients. Can someone suggest some places for me to look or possibilities? Thanks in advance!

You can look at Gnometechs camera tutorial on the download page, it's a great primer for camera scripting. But what you're after is camera.tilt

My clients can look up and down (tilt) as well as left and right (pan).

The multiplayer issue has nothing to do with the camera movement, I believe you are looking in the wrong place [Smile]

In my game I have a part of the model moving when the camera tilt changes, so for me it did matter. I have a skill value that I tied to the camera.tilt value so when the client presses the "look up" or down buttons, that gets sent to the server, this way all the clients see each other looking up or down. But if it's just the camera alone, you don't have to go through all that.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I'll take a close look at that camera tutorial.
