Here is a new model I made,.. for what I dont know. Id like to do a high res version and apply a normal map to him, but I have never done this so the normal map would be a new experience.

Critics welcome.

Oh no, thats the way I have him turned I think, the forshortening is non-existant in zbrush orthographic view, I have in him in zbrush now because I am ready to start a high resolution model. Sorry about that.

So do you think the arms are a little boring, should I add more to them? Do they still look short?

Just an advice :
you seem to know already modeling, so why not doing retopology
caus your model lines don't seem very square based or appropriated for
rigging ?

perhaps i'm wrong ??

i think the forearms need to be extended a bit, other than that, it looks great!

My Famous Quotes: "Hip hop is like a virus, infecting everyone and everything around it. Every form of media has some way, shape or form, assimilated hip hop into it." It has also mutated into other strains like, trip hop, house, rap, gangster, and conscious forms. Once you are infected with it, its with you for life."

Are you wrong? I dont know really I was going to cross that bridge if I really needed to, the model has plenty of detail that seems like it will handle most deformation, but I would have to see what it lloks like when I put the skeleton in it.

Well I havent even thought about rigging it yet because I still have the high-res version to make.

The model had nice flow but I had to do many iterations of clean up, plus vertix merging, and I reduced it by over 5000 polygons all by hand, so that messed it up also. There is so much to do to get a game model optimized I ended up loosing some of the flow.

However my idea was to wait untill it comes time to rig it, then after I put the skeleton in I will try the mesh out to see how it deforms, if then it needs a different topology at that time, I'll add detail wherever it needs it. That way my idea is that I can avoid trying to put some topology changes where I might not actually need them.

Well those arent forearms, they are actually like wrist/forearm bracers, but I will relook at the length of the arms. What is the rule? Arent the human arms outstretched supposed to be as wide as the body is tall? Isnt that the rule? Anyway, Ill look it up, I can see what you mean.

it looks good!!! although the hands look really weird, the rest of the body is big and has lots of muscles were as the hands are like normal hands, just looks weird to me... and is that a toe nail on the feet? thats different

Wait, there isn't a "Make My Game Now" button?

Ok i did in 5 min a fast extrude/cut polygon to shwo you what i mean :

It's fast, dirt , no head and all details you have put in torso,
but it's also easy :
only extrude and cut (loop) functions and this way the character is really optimised and really suited for rigging.

Caus polygon reduction can't do the results we want : )
If i have done it in 5 min , i think you can also do it ??

Well just an advice, now do like you want !!

IM thinking about doing something completely different with the hands and arms because its seems to be the concensus with me included that the arms and hands dont seem to fit with the rest of the model.

No its just a strap that is across his boot toe, so many of the shapes it would be hard to see at this point I guess because when I modeled it I had in mind what kind of texture and detail I wanted to put on the surface. Let me texture it then see if the toe still looks weird to you. Thansk for the comment though.
