Hello all, I have been working on the first level of my project for a few hours now, and am realizing that I have no real way of measuring scale inside the game world. What I would like to do is use a general refrence (the unitless point values) to gauge the size of different objects, as well as the level in general. However, I can see the values change as I move my mouse around the game space, but how do I find the exact values for a specific point? I would like to know how to find the position of any given point inside both WED and MED, as I will need to maintain scale with my models as well.

Thank you in advance,
DeKO_Mania

So, based on the lack of a response to this question... am I to assume that there is no way to find the coordinates of a specific point in MED/WED? That seems almost impossible, as that is a fairly crucial and basic component of ANY modeling program. Please, if anyone has any ideas, get back to me.

Regards,

Funnily enough I just asked the same question. It is ridiculous that a commercial software dealing with 3D is unable to give you coordinates of the objects in the scene. I'll see if I am getting a reply and if not, I think we should consider looking for more competent software. It is a pity we already paid for it.

You stated that you can see the values change as you move your mouse in WED. Jot down the coordinates at one point and then find the difference at the other desired point. That way you can determine the scale to make the rest of your level and entities.

Perhaps this is not what you mean though.

Its got to just be me... I cannot imagin that such a basic feature is missing in this package!!!

@Keebo: Yes, I can see the values, but they are far from exact. I could try to place the cursor over the point, but that is extreamly inaccurate, and is limited. I am talking about selecting a specific point, and rather than giving me real-time coordinates, I want to see the EXACT position of the selected point.

Thank you anyways!
