Why not? I have seen many horseshoe crabs where I live, they certainly do resemble trilobite fossils.

I dont really understand the point of debate with these creatures. Proving they are trilobites or not makes no advantage to either the creationists or science.

The basic essentiel question still remains about where they came from to begin with, where did they allegedly decend from? Who are their alleged predecessors? And perhaps more importantly, where did their myriad functions and organelles descend from? Their various defense and survival mechanisms are no doubt complex, what is the supposed evolution of their functions?

After I found out what omniology was I was interested to find that the author is an artist, you might not know that many paleontolgists started life as artists, and in fact the ability to know what a creature may look like by reference of only its bones is an ability which is unique to artists and paleontologists.

I dont have time to read all of the site right now, but if I get time Ill look it over closely on the weekend, though on first look it appears that the author does have some far out viewpoints.

But I think that the guy is asking people to suspend their intellectual discriminations long enough to approach everything with a deeper open mind. I think creationists and scientists should benefit from that questioning.

More photos on trilobites: web page They are definitely an interesting order

What about the Coelacanth?

And they thought that was a fossil too at one time. lol

Pre-dating the dinosaurs by millions of years and once thought to have gone extinct with them , 65 million years ago, the Coelacanth with its "missing link" "proto legs" was "discovered" alive and well in 1938!

If it really were a trilobite, it would be big news throughout the biology community and in newspapers and science journals everywhere.

Isopods and horseshoe crabs are no trilobites, sorry. The only thing they have in common is that they belong to the same phylum of animals, being the arthropods.

It's like saying a deer is a horse.

Cheers

We know, but tell that to the lunatic fossilology eggsperts.

But, what about this species of "rodent" that died off millions of years ago, only to be found in 2005 to be alive?

A squirrel-like rodent discovered in Laos is the sole survivor of a group that otherwise died out 11 million years ago, according to fossil data.

WOW! 11 million years ago! GOD, WE ARE SO SMART!!! WE HUMANS KNOW EVERYTHING!!!

I just thought it was funny.

Oh well, time to revise "science" once again? lol

That one looks like pokemon to me.

But how about this one below?
It was at one time PROOF OF EVOLUTION of our modern horse.
YEP, got it? PROOF! Let us all now pray and bow to the god of evolution.

HAHA! Until it was found to be living... Hehe, stupid scientist.

The okapi

Quote:

The okapi was once thought to have been extinct until they were found still living. These animals were once used as evidence that the horse had evolved.
