How do i make my background panel image, be behined all of the entitys in the 3d world?

i've tried the layer and its still covers everything...

Unless when you say "entities" you mean view entities, this isn't possible with panels. See this topic:

You can give the panel a negative layer, so it's drawn behind all geometry...

EDIT: Are you sure? I can't find any reference to that in the manual.

Thankyou I understand now, so i guess i'll have to texture a flat block,

having said that im not sure how to change map entity textures i have tried but im just not sure how to..?

you mean at runtime? make 2 map entities of equal geometry, but different textures. then ent_morph between them.

It's a new feature. It was supposedly implemented, but I seem to recall a recent jcl post where it might not be implemented despite the beta page saying it is. It might be in the next version. From beta 7.04.1 iteration:

I realy need to be able to use skins or textures loaded like this
bmap background1 <bg1.bmp>;

because i plan to enable user generated content...

I have saved a prefab of my background block and am using it as a map entity
because i need it to be able the have a behaviour so that it always look at the camera/screen, what code should i use to change its skin or texture in this way?
