Start WED with a new level. Place a small cube in the level. Select "Face Move" ,stretch each end of the cube, zoom out, stretch each end again, and repeat until you get an error message that says "Bad Manipulation. Map doesn't allow concave blocks. This problem happens when I try to create very long objects like subway stations from cubes. The "Scale Object" command doesn't let me scale objects to specific length, width, and height.

You can swith to concave block in Map Properties, for allowing this features.
Or click ignore for let move other faces for make final form your block. But final block must be convex.
