Your not the only one who likes doing it. If you figure something out on your own you usually learn more and remember better, but you have to get some information from someone who knows. Thats why I got a bunch of tutors and reading stuff when I tried doing my own Astar script but I failed and ended up with a customized version which isnt really astar and doesn't work with a grid but waypoints. So, if you get it to work can you please post it on a forum or send me a link where I can get it from.
