I bought a week ago, and now buy a plug-in for make house (architools)

I have truespace 7.5, but carrara is more easy to use
and more, more stable.

Can export to .fbx (no import well from med)
To .x (I not chek to much the import in med)
and .3ds (perfect import in med)
and other formats but I tell that by use with med.

Really easy use have a rendering engine high speed at that quality

The procedures textures(glass, metal incredibles) are very easy to setup and can convert to ordinary textures.

Is a release comming at the end of this moth, for correct the bug in the exports and other minus bugs (how .fbx)

But for me by the moment work perfect

I recomend The architools plug in is very easy and speed to make house with that

May I ask what is the version of the exported FBX, 2005 or 2006?
Is there any trail version?

Not trial version appear

When export you can choose one of the two version 2005 & 2006
but not have option in .fbx to convert the procedure shaders to bitmap, I try to import the scenes in web and also models in med but no textures probably is one of the bugs of carrara

however export to 3ds not have to many problem and can convert the procedure shaders to bitmap (.tga, jpg, .bmp...)
have a few the bug in that process Is probably use standar shaders for the models

May you export and host in youtube , a video with an animate character into a 3dgs map , using the x export?
I own Carrara 5 standard (that cannot export animations in usable format) , I am not sure if the animation features of Carrara 6 pro would be a huge improvemente over Milkshape or Med ( in A6 use , of course)and worth the upgrade.

Direxct x export have a bug also
the only model I can import well from carrara6 are 3ds and not have animations

when the patch for correct bug for carrara6 are avalaible (by the end of this month) I try again, and then if works I upload a video at youtube

I see this sample before but are in realcrafter, also not textured. when a new version of carrara 6 are avalaible and I sure not are a bug then send the models in .fbx and .x from carrara 6 to conitec, for check If the problem are med

you should be able to just apply the texture in skin editor.. i didnt bother to apply the texture when loading it into the engine.... as far as i know X is supposed to be the supported format for games within carrara... and thier FBX has never worked with animations.
