42 isn't half as cool as 1.681 I mean look at it: 1.681 even looks totally perfect... 42 is barbaric and ugly

aw cool any reason? i think its good-looking compared to most other digits. always reminds me of a smile. and generally a good thing to see when doing exams (coz of all those rules that involve squares... mainly integration). Quote:
It's actually (1 + sqrt(5)) / 2.
oh bugger... since i have a thing against using capital letters in threads (not really, but it's my tendency on these forums), and i can't call it "phi" (with lower-case 'p') because that apparently refers to it's reciprocal... so i have to call it (1 + sqrt(5))/2 from now on...

golden number: It seems Dr. Stephen Marquardt is seeking patents or has patents for masks of 'perfect faces'. These masks might be based upon universal principles or constants of 'design', and this is the man that should partially possess them (because he beat you to it, chump). Thanks to his 'remarkable' research, now everyone can have a 'perfect face'. There's no excuse, get yours today (you hideous troll). Yes, indeed, 'perfect faces' for everyone. God bless you, Dr. Stephen Marquardt. (Note, that my favorite number today is the exact year that Marquardt dies.)
