1.I'm creating a 3rd person game,but I don't know how to go downstairs,if i use c_move(),the entity will be floating.
2.If there are many upstairs, how can the entity go up?I think entity may collision
3.I use my.pan += 3*time_step,it can be rotated,but it doesn't rotate with its center.need I use c_rotate?

My English if poor,hope you can understand:)

your model wont go upstairs because it doesnt have gravity , the engine wouldnt be nice with you and give It to you , you will have to write a script,

If you want to rotate the model around its center , place its center in the origin point in med.

to go upstairs using c_move ,use GLIDE

Thanks very much.It can rotate around its center now.
but I don't know which "gravity" to use,ph_setgravity or my.gravity.
My.gravity and my.move doesn't work.
If I use ph_setgravity(),phent_settype() and phent_setmass(),the entity will go down the slops until it collision.
And the upstairs may also be a question.I want them go the stairs like this:

wouldn't entities collision?Need I use a invisible triangle model like:

ph_setgravity uses physics engine , AND ITS more suitable for entities like cars , balls
read aum 52 ,it explains how you can set gravity using c_trace,Its more suitable for what you want

The player plays a man in my game such as a 3rd person game,it's no need to use physical engine,is there any other ways?
I have tried ph_ and phent,just like what I said,the entity will stop until collision.I watched the gamestudio aum,it's useful!I'll download all.

Are you using the Template system or free coding?

If free coding then graavity can be applied in a few usefull ways and with the old A6 system, it should be relativly easy to implement.

If the Template system, gravity should already be applied.

sorry I forget to say I'm using A6.5,and I know how to go downstairs now,but upstairs is still a question,because there are many steps on the stair,so I think the only way can I use is "a visible model + a invisible bound box"

c_move (player,vector(2,0,0),nullvector,GLIDE)

GLIDE makes it slide

OK.Everything has been done,I use my.floor_dist to test if entity can go up or down stairs,it works very well.I can create my scene now~
