hi all,
I'm posting this to announce I'm developing the MAYA-to-WMP exporter. Those who loves Maya and 3DGS will love this too.

It's a tool where you can build entirely levels within Maya, so you can forget WED . Then you can export directly to WMP/WMB format and/or run your level.

Still under development, but some features is already working: create blocks, groups, lights, paths, flag/skill set, and WAD texture compilation.
it's not so much, but with it's something

Next step is to export the imported models, terrains, sprites, sounds, set their respectivelly skills,flags and.... what more?

Son I'll post some images or maybe a video showing the exportation and generated level. also the beta version to download

please send me suggestions, or features to implement into.

I think that this is probably one of the best ideas I've ever heard of, concerning maya nad 3dgs. Of course, it doesnt do me much good, sense I've spent countless hours doing this already... hours that were wasted, and could have been avoided if there was a tool like this out there already.

There are already a tool like this and you cud find in download, but it s on store. But that tool is totally limited and not a MDL expoter!

So I wonder If you are a mel scripter or a plugin developer. Because the problem is not writing out a WMP, but a batch export of mdl from Maya, so we need an exporter first. And after expoter comes out, it will not take much time for a Maya 2 3DGS tool.

the project is paused, but is not canceled. It will be continued soon.
I faced a problem with textures, I believe i'll need a help from a MEL programmer.
If anyone who are reading this is a MEL programmer or a skilled Maya user, please let me know.
