I think the "what ure able to do" Contest would be great. The Idea with a "Team Contest" (i think max 3 People) is also great. But i think the Idea with the "Team Contest" would be difficult for the Prices...
I Agree with HeelX / Bloodline and Frank... This is something NEW !
[EDIT]: And dont allow to use the Templates, i think everyone whos licensed Gamestudio for 1 Week can make such things...

Ill give them a chance They can learn Programming (not in one weekk/month ....) But with a little Experience they can do it by self. I dont want to tell a name, but in the Last Contest was a Template "Game" the Design was not Bad .... But the Movemnt / Collision and so on was really Bad.. This Demo was made with the Templates. The Templates cant mess up with Custom Scripts, in the Templates you are very restricted. Do you know now, why i dont want the Templates in the Contest? cYa Sebastian

But contests are there to show what you can do, not what Doug is able to hack.
Contests are also an input for Conitec to get new materials, samples, advertising. You are right with your comment but then Conitec has to make a template demo on their own. A contest could perhaps save this work, depending on the quality of the participating projects.

I think the Templates are to difficulty written (my opinion). In the begining some User wants to work with the Templates, but after some Weeks, they gave up, because the Templates are "big and hard". Lets say, you (Firo) want to Build a Game with the Templates and want to edit some things. I think you get Problems, because you are understand your own Code better than the Templates. So you sit many Days on the Templates only to find out what ist Var X ( X = Example Var/Function/whatever). Thats my Opinion... @Firo this is not a Attack or something else! cYa Sebastian

Your are right in the case when you want to expand them later on. But if you really just want to use them - if you never want to touch the code, just want to make a little template-game - then they are just fine and even better than in the old days Actually I like this concept. You have panels to change parameters and just use them. LarryLaffers concept with IntenseX follows the same idea - plug-in, change parameters and play your game. This is what makes Gamestudio unique and it deserves more advertising with a good demo.
