It's most probably 3dgs-made (*.wrs, typical pro-loadingscreen etc.), but ingame it looks a lot worse than on the screenshots. You just shoot on the enemies that run towards you, that's all. No dynamic lightning or shadows - looks good on the screenshots, but ingame it's a nicely textured static scene with some normalmapping.
