Hi guys,

I figured this is the best place to ask for advice.
(Maybe Orange Brat is the best guy to comment on this.)

Can anyone recommend a good adventure/RPG type game to me please? Preferably one that I can play on the PC. (I've only really been playing FPS games for a while)

My favourite games of this type are: Shenmue (1 and 2), Final Fantasy 7 (I'll admit I haven't really played any of the others much) and Fable (though it wasnt anywhere near as good as it was hyped up to be).

I'm looking for games with a very strong storyline that hopefully give you a lot of freedom (and hopefully gameplay time). I understand there are a lot of good games (a bit like Shenmue), that ended up more as cult classics than anything else. So if anyone can come up with something not "obvious" like Final Fantasy or Zelda games, that'd be great.

I'd like to play Oblivion, but this computer seems to have problems running it. But I'll probably end up getting Morrowind, because that looks pretty good.

Thanks for any advice guys.
Aaron.

hm, i'd say Fahrenheit by quantic dreams for the strong storyline and innovative game play, but you examples tell me that you are more into rpg than adventures.

I've never been much of an RPG fan until Morrowind - Awesome game and Oblivion steps it up a notch you cant go wrong with either title for good story, graphics (Morrowwind may be a bit dated now) and open ended game play in my opinion.

You can't go wrong with Elder Scrolls Morrowind... in my humble opinion it's better than Oblivion. Morrowind definitely is dated in some aspects, but definitely not gameplay-wise,

Cheers

I'll have to give that a try, and Morrowind. I guess the titles I mentioned were more RPG.. But still, I enjoy adventure games anyway.

Keep the suggestions coming guys

Baldurs Gate, especially number 2 + Addon
(the best character-interaction in the Party/Group that I
know from a game)

and Planescape Tourment.

If you want something Final Fantasy like go try Grandia II. It's really good...

Enjoy your meal
