Is there a way to import Poser files into 3D Game Studio?

Well, you could save them as 3ds format and import them. They lose animations, skins, etc. Poser content is WAY high poly, copyrighted and forbidden for use in other apps, so best to not use them...

with DAZ|studio (free software). it can import poser files and you can export them to collada, then change to fbx with the free autodesk fbx tool and import in med with all textzures and anims. as MadMark said, this is NOT a good idea due to poly and (especially) legal issues. really. don't underestimate the DAZ and e-frontier law department. you wouldn't be the first.

There's no law against rigging your own models to take advantage of Daz. You can also use the provided content for 2D render usage (animated sprites, box art, placeholder, etc).

well, you can't rig your own models with daz-studio, at least i found no way to do so (it's fairly poor documented). you need a daz/poser-compatible/originated model with bones to animate it in daz. or use carrara, it can export to daz. but once you own carrara, why would you use daz studio...?

Not sure if it's still working and the helpfile is in german, but found this little converter program from Lanzet3 called "Polygon/Vertex-Reduzierungspack" should be able to turn 3ds models with 20000 polygons into 5000 or models with 5000 into 800 polygons.

My Polygon-Reduzierungstool is working good,if you first load the model into the new MED and export it than into 3ds for reducing. But notice: Animation and skin will be away!Save the textur before reducing!
Look at my fishpack-demo!The original-models from toucan has between 4000 and 8000 vertices,I reduced them to 400-500!After that I skined them new and animated them.
