NeoAxis got a bunch of new features including shadow-mapping and real-time shadows (with alpha testing for vegetation materials and similar):

Besides that I found a very cool project using NeoAxis. 3 people made it in 3-4 months and it looks absolutely professional:

yes, actually i tried the demo of this engine a while back too, i had known about it before i got 3DGS, and it sucked then, however, it changed drastically from when i was looking at it a long time ago. it looks like something i'd spend money on now

Free for non commercial use : )

Easy to use , only bad point i need Visual studio express to install ,
And .Net version framework needed.

Besides that easy to use, level editor, full physics, full next gen effects :
it's a winner engine !

They should make a real site for this engine now that it has reached a real complete Next Gen level !
What is good it have all basic shaders we are mad to obtain with 3DGS :
glow , specular, normal etc ... all with light management and shadows now !

That's a funny comment for someone who hasn't tried this engine out yet...

Yep
Have you tried it ??
No ... so why saying it's not easy to use ??

I already tried some .Net 3D engines and can only say , the easyness of .Net languages can only be easy

I'm searching some engine like Unity : only logic game programming with easy languages and all tools for top 3D workflow in the box

So i won't battle with you man , if what's you seek
Im' only in search of something like Unity engine
(already complete Next Gen) and more affordable !!

I'm also seraching a free 2D engine alternative to Torque game builder mixed with XNA a good winning combination !!
Tried it : tools are top and it's really artist oriented with fast
good results !
Conitec said thy were interest in 2D engine
Let's hope they will dig 2D (with some 3D mixed features)
the result could be great !

Now i let you go to War Phemox Go go go go flame people , battle , kill ...
just hope one day you'll find some peace, some fun , happiness and joy of life my friend !

You're a funny guy. I did try this engine out, which was exactly why I said what I've said, but whatever man...

Cheers

I think this engine like other (beyond virtual by sample)
promise to much and not are really stable

I think also theexpert love gamestudio, but only hope the gamestudio evolution, but that are near to be a reality

For me gamestudio is the best tool all people can test try to use other engines or tools and I see you later or soner back here

Generally speaking I would agree but NeoAxis is based on Ogre so it should be reasonably stable
My concern is about the programming style
These kind of OO game engines look fantastic at the first glance but in my opinion they are over engineered
Nothing is more user friendly the a simple list of functions and a moderate use of classes
From this point of view my favourite engines are 3DGS and TrueVision3D

AlbertoT unfortunately NeoAxis isn't as stable as most Ogre based engines. Felixsg is very much right about this engine, which was why I didn't get that TheExpert called this a 'winner'. Off course, in his opinion I'm probably just being stubborn, but that's all fine with me,

Cheers

Did you actually test NeoAxis ?
What kind of bugs did you find ?
