It is possible that the camera follow the map instead of the player? rotate the map not the player.

a6: if you make your map out of models or map entities, sure. but with wed blocks it's not possible.

a7: no idea, but i assume it's the same.

If it's made out of blocks, you could rotate the gravity and skybox and since everything is relative, it would seem like the map is being rotated. Of course you would have to program the change in gravity, it wouldn't work with a template.
