How do you make high quality textures for 3DGS?????
Here is what i have tried and didnt work:
Made Nice Texture in Photoshop 7 and Made it big like 800X600 then in WED Texture manager i tried to ADD it and it Poped Up a message saying "mytxture.bmp Bad Texture Size"
I made it smaller and accepted it but the quality isnt good.

Hi !

Try using textures for ground and walls not bigger than 512x512 and please use only textures, wich size contains the following values :
2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024 !
Downgrade your 800x600 texture to 512x384 ! I`m shure this will work and will still look acceptable. [Smile]

Almost all my textures are 128x128, some are 64x64, 32x32 and in some cases I use 256x256 textures. I think the results are quite nice.

try to stick to sizes like 256x256 512x512 1024x1024 and things like that. they usually need to be square, and a multiple of 2, but its best to stick to straight sizes like the ones above.

Any texture that has a horizontal and vertical size that is a power of 2 is fine. 800*600 is not a power of 2.

I make my pictures with micrografx picture publisher, and they're high qualitative. (Or anything like that...).
