I am willing to pay $30 USD, for a complete 'Zelda' style heart bar HUD system.

It would need to be a HUD system that shows a horizontal row of hearts (each heart worth 40 hp) that when the player(s) is hit, for every 10 damage they take, that they lose 1/4 of a heart (each heart would be 4 images overlaying an image of an empty 'heart' container)- but that the empty container still shows.

The HUD system would also need to have a script/function so that every time a player gains 4 pieces of heart, that they'd gain a new heart container (thus 40 more hit points)on the bar.

I'd want a max amount of hearts to be 20. I'd want there to *NOT* be a health increase if the player gains just a piece of heart.




The key components would be as follows:

A player starts with “X”(we’ll say 4) hearts.

Each heart is worth ‘40’ health.

Each heart would have 4 ‘image’ quadrants.
The heart would consist of 4 images overlaying a single ‘empty’ heart image
When player loses 10 health, the Right-most heart container that is the most ‘full’ would lose 1
Quadrant of the heart icon on the heart bar.


For ‘character building’-

A player would need to be able to gain more ‘hearts’ on their H.U.D. – which I imagine could work as follows.

A player would need 4 ‘piece of heart’ items to equal 1 full heart.

On collecting 4 ‘piece of heart’ items (but not before), it would give the player 40 more health, and ‘unveil’ or add another heart on the bar.
I believe the most effective way of implementing this part would be to have the additional
‘hearts’ on the bar set as transparent until the health value equaled the effective number of
hearts.
When the player collects a health effecting item, it would need to re-add the quadrant or whole heart based on the amount healed for.

Damn , $30 , I wonder how you actually founnd someone to do it for $30 , LOL , I think the least for a job like that would be arounnd $1000 from any sane individual.

Hey, some of us enjoy doing small work like this when we have time. I don't think anyone in their right minds would ask for $1000 to complete this, a couple hundred maybe. But sometimes when your extremely bored and you don't mind challenging yourself - why not. Good practice keeps the mind churning good.

Wait , I jut re-read it , and they only want the code , well I guess a couple hundred would be good for just the code , I was under the impression that they wanted the whole thing , code and graphics , $30 is still so low , thats barely enough to take a lady out to dinner (considering a cheap restaurant that is).
