WED compiler crash #177943

I'm getting WED A7 compiler crashes since I started adding flat roads and pavements to my model.
At first occasionally, now always. Map compile or entity update, visibility/light calc. on/off makes no difference. Did not happen in A6!

See buildlog below when set on "all warnings".
1. what means WARNING W071a: block 28 - Narrow planes! ??
** W071a nondocumented warning
** non-existing block
2. WARNING W090: Region leaking!
According to the manual, this means something wrong with my skybox.
> my skybox is not penetrated, is closed and no object outside my skybox.

After this compiler crashes completely:

Thanks to the reply to another post (should have found it before...) the crashing problem seems to be solved by setting the level mesh size (map properties) from 10 to 0 or 1. Can anyone tell me why this is so?

However the compiler warnings remain, I'm not feeling happy with that without knowing if I can ignore them or have to fix them.

you need to check all your angles to see if you got any holes in your lvl,if so the wed will not run right.you can not have any leaks in your lvl.
