hello there,
I started with newton and wanted to create a ball you can control by cursor keys. I did that with NewtonBodySetOmega and it worked pretty well. The problem is, that the ball does not react anymore if it stays still. I guess it have to do with that sleep-mode a physikengine applies to the bodies if they don't move. But I couldn't find a way to solve that.

not sure of the exact command, but it's something like:

NewtonSetBodyActive(body, 1);

Just call that before your movement calculations, or in it's physics event

ok thank you really much, now i found something at the manual. Instructions are:

NewtonBodySetAutoFreeze(body,0);
NewtonWorldUnfreezeBody(nworld, body);
